Libby is an app that you can download onto your smart device to read E-books and magazines and listen to audiobooks using your library card.

Getting Started:

  1. You will fist download the an app on your smart device called Libby

    1. Or if you are accessing through a computer you will visit http://libbyapp.com/library/wvreads
  2. You will select the Sign in With Card option

  3. You will select Princeton Public Library

    1. Make sure it is the one located in Princeton, WV
  4. Your Username will be your Card Number on the back of your library card.

  5. The password will be your Phone Number without the 304.

    1. Phone numbers that do not contain the 304 area code will put their area code.

How to Check Out Books

  1. First locate a book you would like to read under the Search/Magnifying Glass Tab.

  2. Next to your chosen title will be a button that says Borrow.

    1. If a book is unavailable the Borrow button will be replaced with a Place Hold button.

    1. Placing a Hold will place you in line for the title and notify you when the title becomes available.
  3. Scroll down and select the Pink Button that says Borrow.

Returning a Book

  1. You don’t need to worry about late fees on Libby as the books will return themselves automatically at the end of their loan period.

  2. If you want to return the book manually you will select the button next to the title labeled Manage Loan. Then select Return Early and then the Pink Button that says Return Loan.

here if it is able to be renewed. Titles will not renew if there are other people waiting for the title.
