Getting Started:
You will fist download the an app on your smart device called Libby
You will select the Sign in With Card option
You will select Princeton Public Library
Your Username will be your Card Number on the back of your library card.
The password will be your Phone Number without the 304.
How to Check Out Books
First locate a book you would like to read under the Search/Magnifying Glass Tab.
Next to your chosen title will be a button that says Borrow.
Scroll down and select the Pink Button that says Borrow.
You will then find the title on your
Libby Shelf
Returning a Book
You don’t need to worry about late fees on Libby as the books will return themselves automatically at the end of their loan period.
If you want to return the book manually you will select the button next to the title labeled Manage Loan. Then select Return Early and then the Pink Button that says Return Loan.
You can also
Renew your Loan
here if it is able to be renewed. Titles will not renew if there are other people waiting for the title.
Navigating Libby
Starting on with the Magnifying Glass on the far left side, this is where you can search for titles to borrow.
The second icon shaped like a Little Library allows you to view popular magazines and guides. Quick filters located at the top allow you to view the newest titles, popular titles, random titles, and titles that are currently available.
The middle icon that is Three Horizontal Lines is where you can manage your library cards and find the settings for your account.
The Stack of Books is your Libby shelf. Here you can find what books you currently have checked out, books you have on hold, your reading history, and notices.
The final icon on the far right shaped like Shopping Tag is for tagging the books you’ve read.
How to get E-books on your Kindle
To read on your Kindle you will select the E-Book on your shelf and select Read With…
You will have the choice to Read on Kindle or Read on Libby
Selecting Read on Kindle will prompt you to Login with your Amazon Account.
Once you have logged in you can switch to your Kindle or Kindle App. Your Libby E-book will be located in your Kindle Library.
To return your Kindle book you will select the title and return to the library, or let the loan run out. You will need to return the title on both the Kindle and Libby App.
